Justin Cabanting
Description
Justin Cabanting is a professional voice actor and sound engineer known for his work in animation, video games, and anime dubbing. A Hispanic, Asian, and Pacific Islander-American performer of Filipino and Hawaiian heritage, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge, before pursuing a career in entertainment. He became a member of SAG-AFTRA in 2021 and has trained through various workshops, including those offered by the Coalition of Dubbing Actors and SAG-AFTRA. He maintains a home recording studio equipped for remote voice work.
Cabanting made his debut in anime dubbing with the lead role of Yu Fukami in the English SimulDub of the series Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami. The series premiered in April 2025, and Cabanting has described being cast in this role as a dream come true and a joy to work on with the dubbing studio Ascendent Animation.
Beyond this first anime role, Cabanting has an extensive career in video game voice acting. He is known for providing the voice of the pyromancer Valir in the Moonton game franchise Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Mobile Legends: Adventure, noting it was one of his first video game voice roles. He has also worked with SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, providing additional voices for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth in 2024 and voicing the character of Shibusawa in the Amazon MGM Studios streaming series Like A Dragon: Yakuza. His other video game credits include work on Fortnite.
