Kaoru Akiyama is a Japanese voice actress and stage actress born on March 5 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She is currently affiliated with the talent management firm Production Baobab and was previously a member of Genki Project and Kaleidoscope. Akiyama is a graduate of the Tama Art University Graphic Design Department.

One of her prominent voice roles is as Pod 153 in the 2023 anime television series NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a, an adaptation of the popular video game. She was announced as part of the main cast for this series, which premiered in January 2023 and is produced by A-1 Pictures. In this role, she voices a support unit that accompanies the androids 2B and 9S. Her participation in the project also included appearing in promotional content for the series.
