Eiji Mikami
Description
Eiji Mikami is a Japanese voice actor from Hiroshima Prefecture affiliated with the talent agency VIMS. He began his professional career in the 2020s after training at the Japan Narration Acting Institute. Mikami has stated that his admiration for the character Sora from the Kingdom Hearts video game series was a major inspiration for pursuing voice acting.
Mikami’s early anime roles consisted of minor characters, including students in series such as Tomodachi Game, Love Flops, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, and Horimiya: The Missing Pieces. His first major role came in 2024 when he was cast as Yō Hiori in the second season of the sports anime Blue Lock, officially titled Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan. Upon his casting announcement, Mikami commented that the determination and passion of the characters in Blue Lock resonated with his own experiences as someone pursuing a dream in voice acting, and he expressed a desire to carefully portray Hiori's emotional distance from soccer.
Beyond Blue Lock, Mikami has been cast in several other anime series slated for release, including Aquarion: Myth of Emotions, Puzzle & Dragons, Koshimin Series, and Go! Go! Loser Ranger!. He has also contributed to video games, with credits in Scarlet Nexus and Roppongi Sadistic Night. In addition to screen work, he performs on stage, having taken on the role of the pilot in a 2025 stage reading of The Little Prince. He is also part of the multimedia project Fragaria Memories, where he voices the character Clark Stella. Mikami has not yet received any major official awards for his voice acting work.
