Takumi Watanabe is a Japanese voice actor from Kanagawa Prefecture, born on October 1, 1991. He is affiliated with the talent agency ARTSVISION and is a graduate of the Japan Narration Acting Institute. His path to voice acting was influenced by a childhood interest in games and a recognition of the emotional power of voice work; he played the tuba in a brass band during his school years, an experience that contributed to his understanding of performance and expression. He made his debut as a voice actor in 2012 with a role in the television anime television anime Football Knights.
Watanabe has built a career portraying a range of characters in both anime and video games. He is known for his long-running role as Yūki Shibayama in the popular Haikyu!! franchise, first voicing the character in the 2014 television anime and continuing in subsequent seasons and OVAs, including Haikyu!!
