Chris Wiggins was an English-born Canadian actor with an extensive career in voice work for animated series and films. He was born on January 13, 1931, in Blackpool, England, and passed away on February 19, 2017. Prior to his acting career, Wiggins worked as a banker in his home country before relocating to Canada in 1952 to pursue performing. While he was widely recognized for his live-action roles, including Jack Marshak on the television series Friday the 13th: The Series, his voice became familiar to audiences through numerous animated productions spanning several decades.

Wiggins voiced characters in a wide range of animated genres, from superhero adventures to children's educational programs. In the realm of Japanese anime, Wiggins provided the voice for Mr. Baxter in the first English-language dub of the Sailor Moon anime series. At the age of 64 when the show aired, he was the oldest actor to appear in that particular English dub. His voice acting portfolio also included significant roles in Western animation that were broadcast alongside popular anime imports during the 1980s and 1990s. He voiced the Mighty Thor and his human host Dr. Donald Blake in the 1966 series The Marvel Super Heroes, Will Scarlet on Rocket Robin Hood, the villain Mysterio on the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon, and Dimetro on the series Dinosaucers. For Nelvana Productions, he voiced the primary antagonist No Heart on The Care Bears Family and the Great Wishing Star in Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation. Additional voice credits included roles in Star Wars: Droids, Star Wars: Ewoks, ALF Tales, the film Rock & Rule, Babar (as Cornelius), Rupert, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, Franklin, and the Redwall animated series (as Abbot Mortimer).

Wiggins earned recognition for his acting abilities, winning a Canadian Film Award in 1969 for Best Actor for his performance in the film The Best Damn Fiddler from Calabogie to Kaladar. He also had a prolific career in radio, with over 1,200 appearances on various CBC Radio programs, including recurring roles such as the voice of Dante, the computer on Johnny Chase: Secret Agent of Space. Among his lesser-known voice roles, Wiggins performed as Keroppi's Father and the Narrator in the special Kero Kero Keroppi no Christmas Eve no Okurimono.
