Mitsuru Takakuwa is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on July 7, 1950, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Production Tanc. His career began after training at the Toho Entertainment Academy, the Aoyama Sugisaku Memorial Acting Training Center, and the Shiki Theatre Company, where he gained experience in stage musicals such as West Side Story, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, A Chorus Line, and Beauty and the Beast.

Takakuwa has built a prolific career spanning television dramas, anime, film, and theater since the 1970s. In addition to his voice work, he has appeared in numerous live-action television series including Aibou, Legal High, Unnatural, BG: Personal Bodyguard, and Promise Cinderella.

As a voice actor in anime, Takakuwa is known for his long-running role in the iconic series Sazae-san. In 2013, he succeeded another actor as the voice of the Next Door Grandpa and Nakajima's Grandfather. He has also appeared in Detective Conan in multiple episodes, taking on roles such as a security guard and various guest characters. His other anime credits include roles in Naruto Shippuden as Akira Naka and Genmai, Natsume's Book of Friends, the Pretty Cure franchise, Lupin III Part VI as Faulkner, and the film Lupin III: The First as Adolf Hitler. He also provided the voice of Master in the special Monster Strike: A Rhapsody Called Lucy -The Very First Song-.

One of Takakuwa's most notable recurring collaborations is his work as the dedicated Japanese dubbing voice for Stan Lee in nearly every Marvel Cinematic Universe film. His dubbing work extends to Western films and dramas such as Green Book, Lady Bird, The Good Wife, and Criminal Minds. He has also performed voice work for video games including Blue Protocol.

Takakuwa holds a medium-vehicle driver's license and has skills in jazz dance. He also made a cameo appearance as a taxi driver in the music video for AKB48's song Fortune Cookie in Love.
