Irene Guerrero de Luna, born Irene Texidor Mendo in Madrid in 1911, is recognized as the first professional dubbing actress in Spain. Her career in voice work began in 1932, making her a foundational figure in the Spanish dubbing industry. She was active as a voice actor from that year until the 1990s and was known for her distinctive, deep voice. In her personal life, she was married to actor Félix Fernández.

Guerrero de Luna is best known for providing the habitual Spanish voice for major Hollywood stars of classic cinema, including Bette Davis, Marlene Dietrich, Claudette Colbert, and Tallulah Bankhead. Her extensive body of work also includes iconic voice roles for characters in live-action television series. She voiced Sophia Petrillo, originally played by Estelle Getty, in the Spanish dub of The Golden Girls (Las chicas de oro), as well as Constance Patterson in Dynasty (Dinastía) and Ethyl Phillips in the series Dinosaurs (Dinosaurios).

Within the realm of animation and dubbed anime series, her credits include several notable roles for Spanish television. She voiced Aunt Polly in the Spanish dub of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and played Peter's Grandmother, as well as the character Ursula, in the series Heidi, Girl of the Alps. Her other animation work includes the role of an old woman in the film The Fantastic Adventures of Unico and Caterina in the series Marco, from the Apennines to the Andes.

Her notable achievements include being a pioneer who broke ground in Spain by becoming the first actress to work in the country's dubbing industry. Her legacy is formally recognized through the Premios Irene de doblaje, an award named in her honor. Irene Guerrero de Luna continued her voice acting career until the mid-1990s and passed away in Madrid in 1996.
