Yōko Mizugaki

Yoko Mizugaki is a Japanese DJ, voice actor, actor, poet, painter, and essayist born on November 26, 1939 in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan. She began her career in the entertainment industry in 1961, when she debuted as a radio DJ. Mizugaki is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce.
Mizugaki was notably active during the formative years of Japanese television animation in the 1960s and early 1970s. She is recognized for her distinctive, high-pitched voice and for originating several key roles in some of Japan's earliest anime series.
In the medium of television anime, Mizugaki is best known for her work on several pioneering series. She voiced the character Uran in the original 1963 series Astro Boy, a role she was the first to perform. She played P-ko in the first series of Obake no Q-Taro, a role she originated in 1965. Her other significant television roles from this era include Poppo in Ōkami Shōnen Ken, Touch in Hustle Punch, and she was the second voice actor to portray the character Chibita in the first Osomatsu-kun series.
