Mark Hellman
Description
Mark Hellman is a Canadian multi-disciplinary performing artist who worked as a voice actor on the English adaptation of the early 1990s anime series Samurai Pizza Cats. His professional background spans stage, film, and voice-over, with extensive experience in theatre, puppetry, and music, as well as work for the National Film Board and CBC Radio Drama.
Hellman is best known among anime audiences for his work on Samurai Pizza Cats, the American adaptation of the Japanese series Kyatto Ninden Teyandee produced by Tatsunoko Productions. The English version, produced by Saban Entertainment, featured a comedic, satirical script that differed significantly from the original. Within this series, Hellman voiced Emperor Fred, the eccentric and doddering nominal ruler of the fictional city of Little Tokyo. He also provided the voices for several other characters in the same show, including Meowzma O'Toole, The Professor, the Ninja Crows, and various additional characters across multiple episodes.
