The French actor and director Frederic Pieretti was active in the French dubbing industry primarily throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s. He began his performance training at the Cours Simon drama school under Philippe Brigaud and made his on-screen film debut in the 1975 movie A nous les petites Anglaises. His career in voice acting includes work for both animated series and live-action dubs, where he provided French voices for actors such as Mark Hamill and Bruce Lee.

In the field of animation, Pieretti is known for his work on several series that defined the era. One of his notable voice roles is Bouffetout in the French adaptation of the magical girl anime series Magical Angel Creamy Mami, which was titled Creamy, Merveilleuse Creamy. His other major anime and cartoon roles from this period include providing voices for the series Bomber X, where he voiced characters including Leo, Captain Custer, and Cyril. He also contributed to the series Les Minipouss and had a minor role voicing an Inca in two episodes of the adventure series Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or. Another credit from this time is a role as Philippe in an episode of Théo ou la Batte de la Victoire.

Beyond his voice work for animation, Pieretti had a broader career in entertainment and media. He worked as a dubbing actor for numerous films and television series, and also worked as a translator of American and English novels under various pseudonyms. Later in his career, he directed documentary programs for French television channels Antenne 2 and TF1, including for the magazines Les Carnets de l'Aventure and Ushuaïa, le magazine de l'extreme. He was also an officer in the Navy reserve and collaborated with the French armed forces' audiovisual departments to create documentaries and reports. In 2022, he directed a short fiction film titled A Malata, which was shot in Corsica.
