Kiyoshi Nishikawa

Description
Kiyoshi Nishikawa is a Japanese comedian and entertainer who has performed a limited number of voice acting roles in anime. Primarily known for his work in the entertainment industry under the Yoshimoto Kogyo agency, his most recognized contribution to anime is the character of Kotetsu in the 1981 film Jarinko Chie. Born on July 2, 1946, in Kochi, Japan, Nishikawa has built a well-known career as a comedian and television personality. In the anime feature film Jarinko Chie, which was directed by Isao Takahata and produced by TMS Entertainment, Nishikawa provided the voice for Kotetsu. This production, based on the popular manga by Etsumi Haruki, tells the story of a young girl named Chie Takemoto managing her family’s tavern in Osaka. Beyond this notable voice work, no significant recurring collaborations with specific directors or studios in the voice acting field have been documented, and publicly available records do not indicate a broader resume of major anime roles outside of this single performance. His involvement in the anime industry appears to be an isolated venture within his larger career as a public figure.
