Junkichi Yarita was a Japanese actor and voice actor active from the 1960s until his death in 1982. He was born on May 3, 1935, in Tokyo, Japan, and stood 172 cm tall. After graduating from Seijo University, he trained at the Haiyuza Actors Studio as part of its ninth class. Yarita began his acting career in 1960 when he joined the Tokyo Engeki Ensemble theatre company. He gained early recognition for his stage work, winning the Ministry of Education's Art Festival Encouragement Award in 1964 for his leading role in the play Man is a Man.

As a voice actor, Yarita was known for his unique, slightly raspy voice which he often used to portray rough, burly antagonists or figures of authority. His anime voice roles include the Soviet Delegate in the 1979 film Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro, Archbishop de Rohan in The Rose of Versailles, and characters in classic series such as W3, Gatchaman, Astro Boy, and Kamui Gaiden. One of his notable roles was Gorosuki in the series Blocker Corps. Beyond anime, he also performed voice-over work for foreign film dubs and for attractions at Tokyo Disneyland. In live-action television, he appeared in dramas like Ninja Butai Gekko, Maguma Taishi, and Kaiju Oji. He was affiliated with the Ezaki Production agency later in his career. Yarita passed away from heart failure on October 5, 1982, at the age of 47.
