George Celik

Description
George Celik is a pseudonym for the American actor and voice actor Michael Forest, who has worked extensively in the English-language dubbing of Japanese anime. Under the name George Celik, Forest is best known for his role as the voice of Master Gouken in the English dub of Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. In this 1994 film adaptation of the popular fighting game franchise, he provided the voice for the character who is the martial arts master of protagonists Ryu and Ken.

Beyond this notable role, the George Celik alias appears in connection with the English version of the landmark 1995 film Ghost in the Shell. He is credited as a voice performer on the international version of this movie and specifically as the voice of the Old Man in Ghost in the Shell 2.0, a 2008 re-release of the film featuring newly recorded dialogue, again under the George Celik name.

The use of the name George Celik is consistent with Michael Forest's practice of performing under pseudonyms, which have also included Alfred Thor and Russell Thor. The George Celik credit is most directly associated with these English dubs of Japanese anime films from the 1990s and 2000s.
