Tamao Hayashi is a Japanese female voice actress born on August 23, 1962, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency Production★A組. Hayashi began her career in 1987, initially taking on numerous minor roles, providing voices for background characters such as children, housewives, and elderly women across various television anime series. Her early work included appearances in productions like Esper Mami and City Hunter.

Hayashi is best known for her long-standing role as Nene Sakurada, often credited as Nene-chan, in the immensely popular and long-running anime series Crayon Shin-chan. She began voicing the character in 1992 and has continued in the role for decades, reprising it in numerous Crayon Shin-chan films. Her filmography includes many of the franchise's theatrical releases, such as Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryokō Hurricane, Crayon Shin-chan: Otakebe! Kasukabe Yasei Ōkoku, and Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shūrai! Uchūjin Shiriri. Her involvement with the series also extends to spin-offs, video games, and other related media.

Beyond her defining role in Crayon Shin-chan, Hayashi has built a diverse portfolio of voice work. She voiced Miamia in the series Fighting Foodons and Anjie Mitsukai in Dororonpa!.
