Elizabeth Hanna is a Canadian actress and voice artist, recognized for her extensive work in animated television series and films, particularly those produced by the Nelvana animation studio from the 1980s onwards. She is also a practicing speech-language pathologist.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario, on April 2, 1953, Hanna developed her interest in the arts early on. She studied philosophy at Carleton University before being accepted into the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, from which she graduated in 1977. Following her training, she relocated to Toronto to pursue a professional acting career, beginning with roles in stage productions. Her entry into voice-over work came through commercial advertising campaigns, which subsequently led to a prolific career voicing characters in numerous animated projects.

Hanna's voice acting career is closely associated with Canadian animation, particularly the works of Nelvana. She became a familiar voice in children's programming throughout the 1980s and 1990s. One of her best-known roles is as Hen in the beloved children's series Little Bear. She also voiced Nicole Raccoon in The Raccoons, Delia Deetz and Miss Shannon in the Beetlejuice animated series, and Rosie O'Gravy in Dog City. For the various adaptations of Babar, she provided the voices for characters including Queen Celeste and Madame. Her film work includes roles in The Nutcracker Prince as Marie and The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland as the Queen of Wonderland.

As a voice actor in the anime genre, Hanna contributed to English-language adaptations of Japanese series. She is noted for her work in the 1982 anime film The Wizard of Oz, where she voiced multiple key characters, including The Wicked Witch of the West, The Good Witch of the North, and Jellia Jamb. She also provided the voice for the Doom Tree, also known as the Tree of Life, in the DIC English adaptation of Sailor Moon R. Additionally, she voiced the Triforce of Wisdom in The Legend of Zelda cartoon and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. Her work also extended into video games, most notably providing the voice for the Servbots in the Mega Man Legends series.

In addition to her acting career, Hanna pursued advanced study in communication sciences. She earned a Master of Health Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto and began practicing as a speech-language pathologist in 1996. She has maintained this dual career, continuing to take on voice acting roles while working with adults facing speech and communication challenges.
