Jacques Ferrière was a French voice actor and humorist born in Paris on December 6, 1932, who passed away on April 9, 2005. His career spanned several decades and was marked by extensive work in dubbing, bringing his voice to numerous animated series and films for French audiences.

Ferrière's body of work in anime and animated productions includes several notable roles. He voiced the character of Père in the French adaptation of the 1985 anime series Konpora Kid. In this series, he also provided the voice for the dragon character, Philibert. Another significant anime role was that of L'homme de fer blanc, the Tin Man, in the 1982 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, a Japanese-American co-production.

Beyond these specific credits, Ferrière was a prolific figure in French dubbing. His voice became well-known for dubbing tough-guy characters in American films, lending his vocal talents to actors such as Telly Savalas, Strother Martin, and Danny Aiello for the French versions of their movies. His work also extended to other major animated features, including providing the French voice for Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story.

In addition to his voice work, Ferrière had a rich career in theater, appearing in over twenty plays by renowned authors like William Shakespeare, Eugène Ionesco, and Albert Camus.
