Yuki Ikeda is the writer and illustrator of the manga series Thunder 3, which has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Magazine since May 2022. The series is licensed for English release in North America by Kodansha USA under its Vertical Comics imprint. As of January 2025, eight collected tankōbon volumes have been released in Japan.

Thunder 3 follows three ordinary schoolboys who discover a DVD that opens a gateway to a parallel universe, leading to the kidnapping of one boy’s little sister by aliens. The story blends hard science fiction elements with meta-comedy and features an art style noted for its realistic and detailed execution. The series has received recognition in the manga industry, including a fourth-place ranking on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! list of the best manga for male readers in 2024.

In February 2026, a television anime adaptation of Thunder 3 was announced, scheduled to premiere in July 2026 on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block. The anime’s main cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Pyontaro, Natsumi Kawaida as Tsubame, and Eri Akiyama as Hiroshi. This adaptation marks Yuki Ikeda’s first work to be developed into an animated series.
