Description
Three high school girls—Araki, Stella, and Olga—spend their days in a cozy, old-fashioned downtown neighborhood. Their routine is simple: play video games, visit the local public bathhouse, and go home. This is the story of their everyday life, or so it seems.
The anime is based on an original concept by Hajime Shinagawa, which won the grand prize in the Kids/Game category of the Project ANIMA competition in 2019. The animation is produced by Doga Kobo, with Tarou Iwasaki directing and Yoriko Tomita handling the series composition.
While the official synopsis and promotional materials highlight the protagonists' peaceful daily activities, the teaser visual and trailer introduce jarring, dissonant elements. Scenes of the three friends walking in front of a train station are juxtaposed with imagery of a city in ruins and a giant, mysterious crystal floating in the sky. This stark contrast suggests that a hidden sci-fi or apocalyptic narrative lies beneath the surface of their seemingly normal high school lives. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the series is the third anime to be produced from the winners of the Project Anima contest, following Sakugan and The Stories of Girls Who Couldn't Be Magicians.
