TV-Series
Description
A parasitic fungus has taken over the human brain, stripping away free will, independent thought, and emotion to create a docile, managed society. In this dystopian world, the world government known as Amigasa maintains an iron grip on humanity, with citizens living in controlled areas and obeying without question.

The protagonist is Dante, a young soldier residing in Area D-18. He is considered an irregular existence by those around him, partly because he has difficulty reading, which makes him less susceptible to the propaganda and psychic control of the fungi. Despite being a capable soldier, Dante harbors quiet doubts about the rigid, predetermined life he leads.

His life changes forever when he is assigned a secret mission outside his designated area. During this mission, he encounters a mysterious young woman named Aoi, a member of the underground resistance movement called Ether. Through Aoi, Dante begins to see the truth about the fungal regime and discovers that genuine freedom might still be possible. His decision to meet with her again leads him to abandon his role as a soldier and join the Ether rebellion.

As Dante defects, he comes under the tutelage of Grant, the leader of Ether who operates under the dangerous cover of also serving as an Amigasa governor. Grant recognizes Dante's unique ability to retain his sense of self even when infected with a large Amigasa fungus. Dante is also trained by Gin, a member of Ether's special assault force who can consume Metal Capsules to turn his own muscles into iron, providing a powerful weapon against the fungal threat.

The central conflict pits the iron will and weapons of the human resistance against the pervasive biological control of the Amigasa government, which has a centuries-long plan to eradicate humanity. As Dante fights alongside his new comrades, the rebellion initiates the high-stakes Beelzebub strategy. The appearance of a mysterious third party, neither aligned with Amigasa nor Ether, introduces new dangers and sets the stage for the Red Fang arc, where the true nature of the world and the fight for survival becomes even more complex.
