Description
During the two-year timeskip when the Straw Hat crew trains separately before reuniting at the Sabaody Archipelago, the women of One Piece step away from their crewmates to face smaller, more personal challenges. Nami puts her navigation skills aside for a runway in a high-stakes fashion show where comfort clashes with prestige. Nico Robin travels with the Revolutionary Army, using her archaeological expertise to help Koala and Sabo decipher an ancient tablet that holds secrets of a destroyed kingdom. Princess Vivi of Alabasta prepares for a diplomatic mission when an unsolicited love letter from an unexpected young admirer stirs local gossip and forces her to consider the weight of her position. Ghost Princess Perona, living with Roronoa Zoro and Dracule Mihawk on Kuraigana Island, battles the two swordsmen over a bottle of wine that washes ashore, leading to a chaotic confrontation involving her Negative Hollow powers.

These four heroines anchor the first collection of stand-alone short stories set in the familiar world of the Grand Line, specifically during gaps in the main narrative when these characters operate away from Monkey D. Luffy and the core action. The focus is not on world-shaking battles or treasure hunting but on everyday moments, personal relationships, and the quiet decisions that reveal who these women are when they are not supporting their captains.

Nami travels to a famous shoe store called Lebno Listchaque seeking heels that let her run fast, only to find the designer arrogant and his creations painfully impractical. When she confronts the store, the designer recruits her as a model for his show, but Nami secretly collaborates with his overlooked assistant Miucha, whose skills far exceed her position. The fashion show becomes Nami's stage not for glamour but for quietly dismantling a system that values status over craft. Robin, eager to reunite with her crew, instead helps Koala decode a lost script connected to the Yukali Kingdom, a nation that existed during the World Government's formation and was destroyed by another great power. Her patience with Koala's learning process and her reflections on belonging show her growth from a woman who trusted no one to someone who willingly shares knowledge. Vivi's story unfolds through the perspective of Koza, her childhood friend, who intercepts a love letter written by a young boy named Fata and is mistakenly identified as its author. Vivi appears only at the resolution, saddened by the boy's unrequited feelings and resolved to lead without causing pain. Perona, midway between her villainous debut and her later alliance with the Straw Hats, schemes to claim the wine while Zoro and Mihawk clash, only for all three to end up sharing what little remains after a stray Negative Hollow breaks the bottles.

The second volume expands the roster to include Boa Hancock, the Snake Princess of Amazon Lily, whose story Why Grandma Nyon Keeled Over explores a mishap that sends her advisor into shock. Tashigi, the sword-loving Marine, investigates something unusual in her chapter There's Something Over There. Vinsmoke Reiju, Sanji's genetically modified sister, struggles with cooking in A Terrible Cook. Uta, the singer and Shanks's adopted daughter, follows the wind in Where the Wind Goes. The collection closes with a conversation between Nami and Robin titled A Fleeting Moment, which reflects on crew dynamics and their places within the Straw Hat family.

The anime adaptation, directed by Haruka Kamatani with scripts by Momoka Toyoda and character designs by Takashi Kojima, is scheduled to premiere on July 5, 2026, on Fuji TV. It adapts the light novel series written by Jun Esaka and illustrated by Sayaka Suwa, which began publication under Shueisha's Jump J-Books imprint in June 2021. Rather than following a continuous plot, the series presents these vignettes as glimpses into the lives of characters who rarely receive the spotlight in the main saga, offering a quieter, more intimate exploration of what it means to be a heroine when no one is watching.
