Description
Following his victory over the corrupted ninja clan and the AUZA corporation, former ninja Joe Higan, now fully embracing his identity as Ninja Kamui, discovers that dismantling the organization has only exposed a deeper, more dangerous truth. Season Two, Red Vendetta, finds Higan drawn into a new conspiracy of cataclysmic proportions, one that threatens to unleash chaos far beyond the shadowy war he thought he had ended. As he attempts to uncover the roots of this emerging threat, he realizes that the forces he battled were merely a front for a much more powerful and elusive enemy with a personal vendetta against him.

The story picks up with Higan still working alongside FBI agents Mike Moriss and Emma Samanda, whose partnership with the renegade ninja has become permanent but strained. The trio had previously joined forces to bring down the clan master Yamaji and the tech mogul Joseph Evans, who were secretly merging ancient ninja techniques with advanced cybernetic and AI-driven weaponry. Having avenged the murder of his wife and son, Higan sought a quiet existence, but his skills remain in demand as remnants of the clan's operations surface in unexpected places.

Red Vendetta shifts focus to the aftermath of this technological and mystical fusion. Higan must face a new breed of enemy that combines the stealth and discipline of ninja training with next-generation military hardware. The conspiracy leads him across the United States and potentially overseas, forcing him to confront not only external assassins but also the lingering ghosts of his own past within the ninja underworld. Old acquaintances, including the enigmatic former clan leader Kagari and the deadly ninja Zai, may reappear with shifting allegiances, forcing Higan to question who can be trusted.

The series continues to blend its signature aesthetic of ancient martial arts clashing with modern technology. Set in a stylized version of 21st century America, the visual language of the show contrasts the quiet, desolate landscapes of rural life with the neon-lit, high-tech corridors of corporate power. The action remains brutally finessed, with Higan utilizing his traditional ninja tools—swords, kunai, and stealth tactics—against enemies equipped with powered exoskeletons, drones, and biometric weapons. Red Vendetta introduces more advanced combat cyborgs and relentless rival assassins, raising the stakes for Higan, who must rely on his wits and primal instincts to survive.

Produced by Sola Entertainment, the new season focuses on the phrase Red Vendetta, suggesting a deeply personal motive driving the antagonist. While the first season was about revenge for a lost family, this new chapter appears to center on a blood debt or a historic betrayal that threatens to pull Higan into a conflict with global ramifications. As Higan peels back the layers of the new conspiracy, he must decide how much of his humanity he is willing to sacrifice to prevent a coming catastrophe, knowing that the path of the ninja is one of solitude and sacrifice. No official release date has been announced, but the season is currently in active production.
