In the Sumikko Gurashi community's town, it has been raining non-stop for days, causing the fried food duo, Tonkatsu and Ebifurai no Shippo, to become damp and soggy. One day, during this persistent rain, something suddenly falls from the sky. The Sumikkos rush over to help and discover that the fallen figure is a prince from a Sky Kingdom located above the clouds.

The prince explains that unlike the rainy town below, his home in the Sky Kingdom is suffering from a severe water shortage and is in great danger. Determined to help save the kingdom from this crisis, the Sumikkos embark on an adventure into the skies alongside the prince. Their journey leads them to a wondrous kingdom in the clouds where they encounter new characters, including the prince and another mysterious individual currently known only as???.

The core characters include Shirokuma, a sensitive polar bear; Penguin?, who is unsure of his own identity; Tonkatsu, a leftover pork cutlet; Neko, a timid and anxious cat; and Tokage, a dinosaur who pretends to be a lizard. The story follows their efforts to help the hardworking prince resolve the kingdom's crisis, exploring themes of friendship and community as the usually shy, corner-loving characters take on a grand adventure.
