Description
Umiko Chino, a 65-year-old woman in mourning after the death of her husband, visits a movie theater for the first time in decades. There she meets Kai, a university student studying filmmaking. Both notice a shared tendency: instead of watching the movie, they find themselves observing the audience's reactions. Perceiving a deeper longing in Umiko, Kai challenges her to consider what she truly wants. Stirred by his words, Umiko makes the bold decision to enroll at the same art school to study film. Inside this unfamiliar world, she struggles to understand the aspirations and relationships of a much younger generation of students, all driven by their own passions. Through her interactions with them and her own efforts behind the camera, Umiko begins to question what kind of experience is valued and how one can seek change through the act of creation. Her journey into filmmaking becomes a quiet exploration of grief, rediscovery, and the courage to start anew at any age.
