Description
The Culling Game continues with its second phase as Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, and the remaining Jujutsu sorcerers find themselves trapped inside lethal colony barriers scattered across Japan. Orchestrated by the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku, who now inhabits Suguru Geto's body, this nationwide battle royale forces every awakened participant to kill or be killed. The core objective for the protagonists remains the same: accumulate enough points to add new rules, rescue Megumi's stepsister Tsumiki, and locate the Angel, a player with the cursed technique capable of unsealing Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm.
Yuji and Megumi continue their search for allies while navigating new colonies, encountering both modern sorcerers awoken by Kenjaku's Idle Transfiguration and reincarnated sorcerers from centuries past. Among the most dangerous newcomers is Hajime Kashimo, a lightning-wielding ancient fighter who has waited a thousand years for a worthy opponent. His confrontation with Kinji Hakari, the suspended third-year student known for his unpredictable combat style, becomes a defining battle of the arc. Meanwhile, Yuta Okkotsu operates in Tokyo Colony No. 2, unleashing his copy technique to eliminate multiple powerful players and rack up points quickly.
Megumi's desperation to save Tsumiki puts him on a collision course with Angel, whose true identity is Hana Kurusu. She holds the key to freeing Gojo, but her cooperation comes at a cost. The season also introduces the awakened defense attorney Hiromi Higuruma, whose Domain Expansion grants him the power of a courtroom where punishment is death, and the comedic sorcerer Fumihiko Takaba, whose bizarre cursed technique turns his jokes into reality. Other newcomers include the ancient sorcerer Rokujushi Miyo and the budding manga author Charles Bernard, each bringing unique abilities to the deadly game.
Kenjaku's ultimate plan becomes clearer as the battles intensify: he intends to use the massive accumulation of cursed energy generated by the Culling Game to merge himself with Tengen, the immortal being fused with Japan's protective barriers, thereby forcing an evolution of humanity. To stop him, the protagonists must not only survive the game's harsh rules but also find a way to add a rule that ends the conflict or allows them to escape. The season covers the final stretch of the Culling Game arc, leading directly into the climactic Shinjuku Showdown as alliances are tested, sacrifices are made, and the fate of the jujutsu world hangs in the balance.
