Description
"Gundam 00" is set in the year 2307 AD, a time when fossil fuels have been depleted, and humanity relies on solar power harvested by orbital elevators. Three major power blocs—the Union, the Human Reform League, and the AEU—control these elevators, leading to constant conflict over resources. Amidst this instability, a private military organization called Celestial Being emerges, armed with advanced mobile suits known as Gundams. Their mission is to eradicate war through armed intervention, targeting all factions equally to force humanity toward peace.
The story centers on the Gundam Meisters, the pilots of Celestial Being's Gundams. Setsuna F. Seiei, a former child soldier from the war-torn Middle Eastern Republic of Krugis, pilots the GN-001 Gundam Exia. He is joined by Lockon Stratos, a skilled sniper operating the GN-002 Gundam Dynames; Allelujah Haptism, a super-soldier with a split personality piloting the GN-003 Gundam Kyrios; and Tieria Erde, a mysterious and stoic individual who controls the GN-005 Gundam Virtue. Together, they carry out missions to disrupt conflicts worldwide, drawing the ire of the power blocs and sparking a global response.
As the series progresses, Celestial Being's actions lead to the formation of the United Nations Forces, a coalition aimed at countering their influence. The Gundam Meisters face increasingly formidable opponents, including Graham Aker, a Union ace pilot obsessed with defeating the Gundams, and Ali al-Saachez, a mercenary with ties to Setsuna's past. The narrative explores the ethical implications of Celestial Being's methods, as their interventions often result in collateral damage and unintended consequences.
The second season, set four years later, reveals that Celestial Being's actions have not achieved lasting peace. Instead, the world has united under the Earth Sphere Federation, but conflicts persist. A new faction, the Innovators, emerges, seeking to manipulate humanity's evolution and control the future. The Gundam Meisters, now operating upgraded Gundams, must confront this new threat while grappling with their own ideals and the consequences of their actions. The series culminates in a climactic battle that determines the fate of humanity and the future of Celestial Being's mission.
Throughout the series, themes of war, peace, and human evolution are explored through the perspectives of the Gundam Meisters and their adversaries. The narrative delves into the complexities of morality, the cost of idealism, and the cyclical nature of conflict, presenting a multifaceted portrayal of its characters and their struggles.

Episodes
Staffel 1
1Celestial Being
In AD 2307,the AEU demonstrates its new Enact mobile suit at a military facility near its orbital elevator. Test pilot Patrick Colasour completes a mock battle, but a white Gundam suddenly appears and disables the Enact with a beam saber. The Gundam, designated Exia, withdraws without destroying the pilot or the base. Aboard the hidden space vessel Ptolemaios, the Exia pilot Setsuna F. Seiei reports to his fellow pilots Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism, and Tieria Erde. Celestial Being, the private armed organization that operates the Gundams, transmits a global message declaring its intent to eliminate all armed conflict by force. The broadcast names the group and its four Gundam pilots as Meisters. Setsuna recalls a childhood memory as a soldier in the war-torn Republic of Krugis, where a mysterious Gundam saved him from a collapsing battlefield. In a residential tower near the Union orbital elevator, engineering student Saji Crossroad and his neighbor Louise Halevy watch the Celestial Being announcement on a news screen. Setsuna returns to his apartment, which is located next to Saji's, and silently affirms that he himself is a Gundam. The episode ends with the four Meisters receiving their next mission order, directly challenging the world's three superpower blocs.
2Gundam Meisters
The four Gundam pilots of Celestial Being gather aboard the Ptolemy. Setsuna F. Seiei,Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism, and Tieria Erde receive their mission orders through Veda. The Union launches a carrier group into the Taklamakan desert to capture a Gundam. Graham Aker pilots a customized Flag fighter to engage the enemy unit. Setsuna sorties in the Exia and meets Aker’s attack in close combat. Allelujah flies the Kyrios to disable HRL ground forces advancing on another sector. Lockon uses the Dynames’ sniper systems to eliminate long-range threats from a distance. Tieria deploys the Virtue’s GN Field and heavy cannon to suppress concentrated armor columns. The four Gundams coordinate their attacks without verbal communication, relying on Veda’s real-time tactical analysis. The world’s major powers realize that a single organization commands all four machines. The Union, AEU, and HRL each begin forming specialized anti-Gundam task forces. Setsuna states that he will continue fighting until war disappears, leaving the three superpowers preparing a coordinated response.
17Assault of the Thrones
A flashback reveals two explorers inside a derelict spacecraft orbiting Jupiter 80 years prior. They recover a purple Haro unit from a dead body, recognizing it as an information terminal. In the present, the Trinity siblings bring their ship, the Throne Eins, alongside the Ptolemaios. Nena Trinity asks for Setsuna F. Seiei, the Exia’s pilot, and kisses him immediately upon meeting him. Setsuna pushes her away, telling her not to touch him. Lockon Stratos’s orange Haro approaches the purple Haro, calling it brother, but the purple Haro rebuffs it and shoves it away. Tieria Erde leaves the briefing in frustration after Michael Trinity mocks his questions. Tieria later goes to a Veda terminal and finds Nena already there, accessing the system without authorization. Professor Eifman compiles his Gundam research at the MSWAD base in the Union. He concludes that the Gundams’ energy source can only be manufactured on Jupiter and connects this to a manned exploration mission from 120 years prior. His computer screen displays the message 'You have witnessed too much' before the base alarms sound. The three Thrones attack the MSWAD base. Johann Trinity fires a GN mega launcher, destroying the main building and killing Professor Eifman. The Over Flag squadron arrives, but Michael Trinity deploys GN fangs. Howard Mason’s Over Flag takes a direct hit from the fangs and explodes, killing him. In Tokyo, Saji Crossroad sees Louise Halevy off at the airport as she returns to Spain for a family wedding. Back on the Ptolemaios, Setsuna openly questions whether the Trinity siblings are true Gundam Meisters, a doubt shared by others in the crew. The next episode preview shows Louise injured in a hospital, a consequence of the Thrones’ indiscriminate attack.
18Spear of Longinus
The Ptolemaios crew detects the Trinity siblings' Throne Gundams after their unauthorized attacks. Sumeragi Lee Noriega identifies the Thrones' GN particle signatures as distinct from the original Gundams. Setsuna F. Seiei pilots the Exia to intercept Michael Trinity's Throne Zwei. Michael attacks Setsuna without explanation, and the two engage in close combat. Johann Trinity arrives and reveals that the Throne units belong to another faction within Celestial Being. He claims they act under the same plan but with different methods. Tieria Erde receives data from Veda that labels the Trinity team as unsanctioned. Tieria confronts the siblings via communication and demands they submit to Veda's judgment. Johann refuses, stating that their interpretation of Aeolia Schenberg's plan overrides Veda's authority. Lockon Stratos observes Tieria's shaken resolve and reminds him that the original Gundam Meisters must act independently. The battle resumes, and the Throne Zwei's large GN Buster Sword damages the Exia's arm. The Trinity siblings retreat before the Ptolemaios can launch a full counterattack. Allelujah Haptism experiences internal pressure as Hallelujah's voice grows stronger, threatening to resurface. The crew realizes that the Thrones operate without oversight and will continue their indiscriminate interventions. The episode closes with the Ptolemaios preparing to hunt down the rogue Gundams, while the Throne pilots set their sights on eliminating the original Meisters.
19The Sword of Annihilation
The Union, the AEU, and the Human Reform League sign a formal military alliance to counter Celestial Being. The Trinity siblings ignore the alliance and continue their unilateral attacks. Johann Trinity fires the Throne Eins's large GN cannon at a Union military base. The blast destroys the base and kills numerous personnel. Setsuna F. Seiei launches in the Exia to intercept the Throne Eins. Setsuna questions Johann about the civilian casualties caused by the Trinity's interventions. Johann responds that the original Celestial Being's plan is too slow and that fear is the only effective tool. Setsuna rejects this logic and attacks the Throne Eins. Meanwhile, Saji Crossroad observes the battle from the orbital elevator's observation deck. Saji recognizes the destruction as the same violence that killed his sister. The Throne Eins repels the Exia and deploys its full cannon again. The episode closes with the Trinity siblings declaring their intention to destroy any faction that resists them, while the three superpowers mobilize their combined fleet for a decisive strike against Celestial Being.
22Trans-Am
Ali al-Saachez attacks the Trinity siblings' ship in a prototype GN-X. He kills Johann Trinity and heavily damages the Throne Eins. The remaining Trinity siblings,Michael and Nena, retreat in panic. Aboard the Ptolemy, Tieria Erde decrypts Aeolia Schenberg's message and discovers the Trans-Am system hidden in the Gundams' operating systems. The four Gundam Meisters activate Trans-Am simultaneously. Each Gundam emits a red glow and gains triple normal output, speed, and maneuverability. The Gundams counterattack the GN-X squadron and destroy multiple enemy units. Lockon Stratos singles out Ali al-Saachez, driven by revenge for the murder of his family. Ali fires a beam shot that destroys Dynames's head camera and injures Lockon's left eye. Blood streams down Lockon's face, but he continues aiming through the sniper scope. Ali's GN-X sustains heavy damage and retreats. The episode closes with Lockon's damaged Dynames and his injured eye, setting up his continued pursuit of Ali in the next battle.
23Stop the World
The UN forces fire the Memento Mori satellite weapon at the orbital elevator's solar power ring. Lockon Stratos pilots the damaged Gundam Dynames toward the Memento Mori's control section. He fires a direct shot, destroying the weapon's firing mechanism. The blast from the explosion destroys Dynames's cockpit. Lockon dies from his injuries. Setsuna F Seiei engages Alejandro Corner in the mobile armor Alvatore. Alejandro reveals his intention to control the world through the GN Drive technology. Ribbons Almark appears as a hologram and declares that the Innovades will guide humanity. Setsuna activates the Trans-Am system and destroys the Alvatore's core unit. Alejandro Corner dies. The Ptolemaios crew evacuates as the ship breaks apart. The remaining Gundam Meisters—Setsuna, Allelujah, and Tieria—separate and go into hiding. The UN announces the end of Celestial Being's armed interventions. Louise Halevy witnesses the aftermath and vows revenge. The survivors face an uncertain future as the UN consolidates power and creates the A-Laws.
24Endless Poem
The Ptolemy crew holds a funeral for Lockon Stratos. Feldt Grace places a flower on his empty helmet. Setsuna F. Seiei stands apart, speaking no words. The UN Forces launch a coordinated assault with thirty-four GN-X mobile suits from the fleet led by Sergei Smirnov. Allelujah Haptism merges with his alter ego Hallelujah to confront Soma Peries. He disables her GN-X, extracts her cockpit pod, and carries it back to the Ptolemy. Sergei orders a tactical retreat to protect the fleet. Tieria Erde accesses a Veda terminal inside the ship. Ribbons Almark appears as a hologram and reveals that the Innovades control Veda. Ribbons states that Tieria is a manufactured Innovade, created to serve their plan. Tieria shoots the terminal and severs the connection. Graham Acre pilots the GN Flag into battle against Setsuna. Graham ignores fleet orders and attacks with reckless close-quarters combat. Setsuna disables the GN Flag's arm and thruster, sending Graham crashing onto the Ptolemy's deck. The UN fleet's sustained fire cripples the Ptolemy's propulsion. Setsuna launches in the Exia alone, announcing his intention to buy time for the crew. He charges toward the enemy line, shouting his identity as Gundam. The Ptolemy crew watches as the Exia disappears into the GN-X formation.
