Description
Chakram is a fictional robotic character from the television series Kamen Rider BLACK RX, where it serves as a subordinate officer within the Crisis Empire, the primary antagonistic organization. Specifically, Chakram holds the position of Chief of Staff or an information-gathering robot under the direct command of General Jacques, the leader of the Empire’s Earth invasion force.
In terms of personality and demeanor, Chakram is depicted as possessing a somewhat goofy and less-than-serious nature, a trait that sets it apart from the more overtly menacing members of the Crisis Empire. A notable characteristic is its unique way of speaking, which frequently mixes English into its dialogue, contributing to its quirky and almost comical presence. Physically, Chakram is a small robot that is almost always seen floating in the air.
Chakram’s primary function within the Crisis command structure is to handle information and relay directives. It is ostensibly programmed with strategic data concerning the invasion of Earth, but within the narrative, this information is rarely, if ever, shown to be genuinely useful or effective. A significant part of Chakram’s role involves acting as a messenger, conveying General Jacques’s commands to the various monster commanders, such as Gatezone. This task is often met with disdain; the other commanders tend to view Chakram with annoyance and disrespect, sometimes even chasing it away, highlighting its low standing among the Empire’s forces.
Chakram’s journey in the story concludes during the final episode. It succeeds in surviving until the climactic battle but does not possess any notable combat abilities. In the end, it is confronted and unceremoniously destroyed by Kamen Rider BLACK RX, who has infiltrated the Crisis Fortress, leading to the robot’s permanent deactivation. Regarding its abilities, Chakram is shown to have the power of sustained flight, allowing it to hover and move through the air. It may also have some form of scanning or data-processing capability, but it demonstrates virtually no capacity for fighting or self-defense, making it a non-combatant support unit.
