Carlos Falat, born Antônio Carlos Falat on November 4, 1961, in Araucária, Paraná, was a prominent Brazilian actor, voice actor, and dubbing director. His career in performance began at a young age in 1967, working in radio, where he participated in an estimated 350 radio novels and also worked as a sound technician. He held academic degrees in Clinical Psychology and Classical Literature from the Federal University of Paraná, as well as training in Performing Arts. Beyond acting, Falat was also a trained lyric singer, having performed as a soloist in sixteen operas.

Falat entered the field of dubbing in 1992. He became a well-recognized voice in Brazilian Portuguese for numerous characters in animated series and anime. Among his most notable roles in anime are Jirohmaru Takaba in Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!, Kuroko in Urotsukidōji: Legend of the Overfiend, and Flint in Flint: The Time Detective. He also provided the voice for Oompe in the film Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. His extensive anime work further included roles in Dragon Ball Z as the Cell Juniors and Tapica, Todd Snap in Pokémon, and Piroro in Fly - O Pequeno Guerreiro.

In addition to his work in anime, Falat was widely known for his voice roles in Western animation. He was the voice of Skeeter Valentine in Doug, Phil DeVille in Rugrats and its subsequent series and films, and Arthur in As Aventuras de Babar. He also voiced Eugene Horowitz in Hey Arnold!, the second voice of Bobby in O Fantástico Mundo de Bobby, and Beans in the 1999 Hunter x Hunter series.

His work extended to live-action dubbing as well, where he was recognized as the voice of Paul Pfeiffer in the series Anos Incríveis, Tim Murphy in the first dubbing of Jurassic Park, Mini Me in Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Ling in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. In the early 2010s, Falat expanded his role in the industry to become a dubbing director, working at studios such as BKS, Tempo Filmes, and Luminus. In 2006, his work was recognized with a nomination for the Prêmio Yamato, considered the "Oscar da Dublagem" (Dubbing Oscar), for Best Supporting Dubbing Actor for his role as Phil in Rugrats. Carlos Falat passed away on June 29, 2016, in São Paulo.
