Description
Ika-Kaijin, also known as the Squid Mutant, is a monster created by the dark organization Gorgom in the series Kamen Rider BLACK. This kaijin was designed with the characteristics of a squid, standing at 236.6 centimeters tall and weighing 100 kilograms. Its physical form includes伸缩自如的 tentacles that can extend and retract for combat.

In terms of abilities, Ika-Kaijin possesses several distinctive offensive and defensive powers. From tubes located on both of its shoulders, it can fire destructive purple beam projectiles at opponents. Additionally, from a mouth located near its chest area, it can release a smokescreen of ink to obscure vision and create a tactical advantage in battle.

The primary motivation for Ika-Kaijin, as an agent of Gorgom, was to serve the organization's plan to eliminate Kamen Rider BLACK. The specific scheme involved exploiting the powers of a young woman named Rana Kauai, who possessed psychic abilities capable of exterminating grasshoppers, an inherent weakness for the grasshopper-themed Kamen Rider BLACK. The High Priest Baraom sought to acquire Rana and use her powers for Gorgom's purposes, and Ika-Kaijin was deployed to assist in this mission by attempting to abduct her.

In its role within the story, Ika-Kaijin engaged in combat against Kamen Rider BLACK alongside other Gorgom priests. During the confrontation, Baraom used a special pendant to control Rana, forcing her to use her abilities against BLACK, which weakened the hero. The battle also involved Ryusuke Taki, an ally who fought alongside Kamen Rider BLACK. During the skirmish, Taki managed to shoot off one of Ika-Kaijin's tentacles, and later broke the pendant controlling Rana, turning the tide of the fight. With Rana freed from Gorgom's control, Kamen Rider BLACK gained the advantage and ultimately destroyed Ika-Kaijin with a combination of the Rider Punch and Rider Kick attacks. The character had no significant development arc, appearing as a single-episode antagonist serving the immediate narrative purpose of a direct threat before its destruction.
