Description
High Priest Baraom is a prominent antagonist in Kamen Rider BLACK, serving as one of the three High Priests of the malevolent secret society known as Gorgom. His appearance is striking and inhuman, featuring a stone-like green face and mechanical arms. Within the hierarchy of Gorgom, Baraom is specifically entrusted with the deployment of the organization's Mutants, sending them to carry out the group's dark schemes. He possesses the Stone of the Ocean, which grants him his power and authority as a priest.

In terms of personality, Baraom is characterized by a short temper and a direct, aggressive nature. He is not subtle or patient, frequently displaying outbursts of rage and a strong, confident belief in his own physical power. Despite his gruff and impatient demeanor, he is shown to have a strong sense of camaraderie with his fellow priests, particularly Bishum. Following Bishum's destruction at the hands of Kamen Rider BLACK, Baraom is driven by a powerful motivation for vengeance, training rigorously to avenge her. This reveals that beneath his ferocious exterior lies a genuine, albeit villainous, loyalty to his comrades.

Baraom's primary role in the story is as a high-ranking executive of Gorgom, acting as one of the final obstacles for the hero, Kotaro Minami. He is not a schemer like Darom, but rather the group's enforcer and a warrior who prefers to confront his enemies directly. His personal quest for revenge against Kamen Rider BLACK defines his actions in the latter part of the series. His key relationships are with the other two High Priests. He follows the leadership of the strategic Darom, and shares a close bond with Bishum, whose death becomes the catalyst for his final confrontation with the Kamen Rider. He is also a devoted subordinate to Shadow Moon, the secondary antagonist, and invokes his name with his dying breath.

Baraom undergoes a significant development when he exhausts the power of the Stone of the Ocean within him. This causes him to lose his High Priest form and revert to his true original form, known as Grand Mutant Baraom. In this new form, he resembles a black-haired saber-toothed tiger with large, elephant-like tusks. Even in this state, he retains his formidable laser beam powers. To prepare for his final battle, Baraom also trains to master a super-speed movement technique, which he uses to overwhelm Kamen Rider BLACK. His final scheme involves allying with the Whale Mutant, whom he intends to use as a tool to immobilize his enemy. However, this plan backfires when the Whale Mutant is wounded, leading to Baraom's own defeat. As he perishes, his death triggers a massive earthquake, underscoring his immense power and the epic scale of the conflict. He delivers a final warning to Kotaro that Shadow Moon will be the one to finish the fight, demonstrating his unwavering loyalty to the Gorgom cause until the very end.
