Description
Yoshio Atachi, also known as Yosh Imimi, attends Goha 7th Elementary School. He possesses a petite build, pale skin, and distinctive pink eyes inherited from his mother. His black hair, styled longer on top and shorter at the sides and back, is usually hidden beneath a white sailor-style cap displaying the Goha Corporation logo. He wears a sailor-inspired school uniform: a white shirt, black-lined shorts fastened with a black belt, white socks, and black shoes.
Naturally timid and excitable, Yoshio often acts impulsively based on misunderstandings. This tendency leads to hasty decisions, like misinterpreting advice from Lucidien "Luke" Kallister due to phrasing resembling his favorite hero's catchphrase. This once prompted him to ask Luke to intervene with his mother about Rush Duels after she threatened to withhold his favorite meal. Despite his nervousness, he demonstrates genuine passion for Rush Duels, enjoying matches regardless of the outcome. He cares deeply for his mother, Mimi Imimi, and holds strong preferences for his favorite foods.
Inspired by a post-apocalyptic hero, Yoshio adopts the alter ego "Good Max" or "Good Yosh." For this persona, he wears an inflatable cosplay suit transforming him into a tall, muscular, dark-skinned man. The suit features a charcoal helmet with silver horns, a face mask with red half-moon eyes and a jagged maw design, a black jacket with maroon shoulders and golden spikes, a blue undershirt, black shorts, and knee-high boots. A voice modulator produces a gruff tone, and he adopts mannerisms like calling his mother "mama" and using descriptors like "destructive" and "hellish." The helmet was damaged during a duel with Luke but was later repaired.
His background centers on familial conflict with his mother Mimi, a Goha Corporation executive who initially disapproved of his Rush Duel participation. After losing to Luke, Yoshio recognized his pattern of imitating others and resolved to express his true feelings to Mimi. He dueled her in episode 20 and won, symbolizing his assertion of independence and honest communication. He later dueled Luke again in episode 86, suffering an off-screen loss.
As a duelist, Yoshio uses a Beast Gear World Deck. His recorded duels include:
- Loss to Lucidien "Luke" Kallister (Episode 8)
- Win against Mimi Imimi (Episode 20)
- Loss to Lucidien "Luke" Kallister (Episode 86, off-screen).
