Haruka Kuze is a character from the film Battle Royale II: Requiem, designated as Female Student Number 5. She is a student of the Shikanotoride Middle School class that is forcibly entered into the government's new military program. Haruka received a collar and was sent on a mission to eliminate the terrorist Shuya Nanahara within three days.

Before being sent to the island, Haruka's background was that of a student who had started boycotting school, leading her parents to transfer her to Shikanotoride. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a music teacher. Haruka also lives with diabetes, a personal detail that adds to her character profile.

In the narrative of the program, Haruka is one of the students who successfully reaches the hidden base of the terrorist group known as the Wild Seven and joins their side as an ally. Her most significant personal connection is with a male classmate named Takuma Aoi, for whom she harbors a secret crush. Her feelings are revealed when she expresses a wish to be alone with him. Haruka also appears to be a friend of another student, Nozomi Sagisawa, as she rushes to help Nozomi when Takuma accidentally shoots her.

Haruka’s role in the story concludes during a missile attack on the Wild Seven's hideout. As the structure collapses, the ceiling falls on her and Takuma Aoi. In her final moments, she uses her last breath to confess her feelings of admiration to Takuma before succumbing to her injuries. Her death has a notable impact on Takuma, who becomes very upset by the loss. Haruka does not make any kills during the program, and her abilities are not defined by combat skills but rather by her loyalty to her classmates and her personal courage in confessing her feelings at the end of her life.
