Description
Pink Armadillo is a Destructoid, one of the android warriors serving the evil organization DARK, and she appears as the featured enemy in the twenty-fourth episode of the Android Kikaider series. She is a female-type robot with a strong sense of personal dignity, and she carries out the orders of the organization's leader, Professor Gill, on a mission to destroy Kikaider.
Unlike many of the more straightforward combat robots she operates alongside, Pink Armadillo relies heavily on deception. In her human form, she appears as a mysterious woman dressed in pink tights and uses her appearance to approach and charm men. Once close to a target, she presses her mouth to the person's forehead and imprints a mark beginning with the letter P, implanting a control device in the brain. This technique allows her to turn ordinary men into obedient servants, and she builds a small army of controlled humans to do her bidding. She also commands a group of android subordinates who share her feminine appearance and wear matching pink bodysuits.
Her personality is defined by pride. She frequently speaks of pride and honor and regards herself as a dignified warrior who will not accept humiliation. This trait becomes central to her fate. After Kikaider badly damages her in battle, and she sees her own ruined form, she refuses to be defeated in disgrace. Declaring that destroying herself is the path a proud woman chooses, she triggers an explosion that destroys both herself and the secret base, taking her own life rather than surrendering.
