Maria Clemente, a British military officer, ascended to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel at age 20 following her graduation from MIT. Assigned to secure the Berserker—an ancient relic—for military research, she engaged Professor Mauser, whose subsequent resentment toward the British military stemmed from their aggressive acquisition of the artifact.

While targeting the Berserker’s destruction, she allied with Yu Ominae to counter Mauser’s schemes. During the clash, a gunshot struck her abdomen, but Yu’s swift intervention stabilized her injuries before British forces evacuated her to safety.

In the final confrontation within the control room, Maria redirected Mauser’s weapon against him, fatally wounding the scientist. This act permanently halted his ambitions to transform the Berserker into a military asset.
