He is an ace mobile suit pilot serving in the Earth Federation Space Force unit Londo Bell, assigned to the battleship Ra Cailum. At twenty-seven years old, he holds the rank of Lieutenant and serves as the leader of the elite mobile suit team known as the Tri-Stars. His personal codename is U007, or Uniform Seven.
Garrett and his two teammates, Daryl McGuinness and Watts Stepney, were originally candidates to become test pilots for the UC Plan, a secret project involving advanced mobile suits.
