Description
Koichi Moroha emerges as a primary antagonist in the Shrine of Fire arc, operating as a KGB agent within the Far East Division. Born into the Moroha lineage, he inherits the legendary Hihiirokane sword—a psi-forged blade capable of cleaving through nearly any material. This ancestral weapon pairs with his innate psychic gifts: telekinetic control and the "Tornado Beast," a psychokinetic whirlwind that shreds targets with violent winds. Rigorous training hones these abilities into lethal area-of-effect strikes, deployed without physical exertion.

As a KGB operative, he conducts covert missions across Japanese territories, though personal ambition soon overshadows duty. During the hunt for the Fire Orb—an ancient artifact commanding volcanic forces—he abandons Soviet loyalties, seeking to harness its power for global supremacy. Driven by megalomania and delusions of invincibility, he ruthlessly eliminates allies and enemies alike while clashing with protagonists tasked with securing volatile relics.

Arrogant and merciless, he views opponents as beneath contempt, favoring brutal psychic onslaughts and close-quarters sword combat to overwhelm resistance. His reliance on raw power over strategy, however, culminates in a fatal miscalculation. During a volcanic confrontation near Mount Fuji, a retaliatory strike hurls him into molten lava, ending his reign of terror.

Despite his savagery, Moroha presents a refined image—tall, slender, and perpetually clad in tailored suits, even amid battle. This juxtaposition mirrors the narrative’s themes of unchecked ambition and the perils of exploiting ancient technologies, casting him as a cautionary force in the struggle over humanity’s stewardship of destructive relics.
