Description
Kuon is a young woman of the Tuskur nation who serves as a healer and traveler, and she is the princess of Tuskur. She first appears when she discovers an amnesiac man lost in a forest, becomes his protector, and names him Haku. Kuon has distinctive bestial features such as animal ears and a tail, marking her heritage, along with very long black hair and brown eyes. She is in her late teens to early twenties and is known for her cheerful, playful, and carefree disposition, often living by the spirit that life is an adventure. Despite her lighthearted surface, she shows sharp intelligence, maturity, and a protective streak in serious moments. She is deeply loyal and places the safety of those she cares about above her own needs.
Her central motivation is to reconnect with her homeland and protect her loved ones, as well as to understand her identity and heritage. During the story she learns that she is the daughter of Hakuoro and Yuzuha, a revelation that forces her to confront her past and the weight it carries. She serves as both a mentor and a primary companion to Haku, acting as his emotional anchor and steadfast supporter while they travel through a politically tense and fantastical world. Her relationship with Haku grows from simple companionship into a profound bond, and she also shares meaningful ties with other warriors and figures from her homeland, including her uncle and surrogate father Oboro.
Over the course of the narrative, Kuon evolves from an adventurous wanderer into a reliable and emotionally resilient partner. Her journey of self-discovery sees her face external threats while coming to terms with her lineage, and these trials deepen her combat skills and emotional fortitude. In battle, she wields a staff with remarkable agility, using acrobatic moves and clever tactics to outmaneuver opponents. Her animal-like senses grant her sharp reflexes. However, her fighting ability is influenced by her emotional state; moments of doubt can weaken her performance. She is also a highly skilled apothecary and healer, often tending to injuries with expertise that belies her age.
