Description
Koichi Kizakura is the director of the Future Foundation's third division, applying his experience as a former talent scout for Hope's Peak Academy. He was also the original homeroom teacher for Class 77-B before being succeeded by Chisa Yukizome, and he assisted Kazuo Tengan in the founding of the Future Foundation in the aftermath of the Tragedy.

His personality is relaxed, passive, and whimsical. He generally avoids unnecessary conflict and was once known for an irresponsible streak that saw him prioritize drinking over his teaching duties. This carefree and moderate facade masks a deep sense of personal loyalty and honor, particularly when it comes to promises he has made.

Kizakura's primary motivation is driven by a vow he made to Jin Kirigiri to protect his daughter, Kyoko. This obligation defines his role in the Final Killing Game, where he acts as a sensible and stabilizing presence among the more aggressive and ideologically rigid Future Foundation leaders. His most significant relationship is with Kyoko Kirigiri, whom he watches over and offers guidance. He remains connected to Chisa Yukizome and the students of Class 77-B through his tenure as their original teacher, and he shares a collaborative history with Kazuo Tengan.

His development is demonstrated through his ultimate sacrifice. When Kyoko is trapped by Ruruka Ando, he deliberately breaks his assigned Forbidden Action to save her, resulting in his instant death by poison. This act underscores the strength of his commitment. His notable abilities lie not in combat but in his talent for scouting, recruiting, and personnel management, and his calm, indifferent disposition makes him a trustworthy and pragmatic figure throughout the conflict.
