Description
Eishirou Yabuki is a first-year student at Seidoukan Academy, the same school and class as the protagonist, Ayato Amagiri, and also serves as his roommate. He is a lean young man described as being a head taller than Ayato, with light brown, somewhat messy hair. A prominent feature is the noticeable scar located on his left cheek, which hints at a past more complex than his cheerful demeanor suggests.
On the surface, Yabuki is a member of the school's first news club and has a girlfriend, Mizushiro Sawari, who is the club's president. He presents himself as an affable and outgoing information broker, having concluded early that he lacks the talent to compete seriously in the Festa, the academy city's primary combat tournament. Instead, he uses his student status to collect and sell information, ranging from popular gossip and restaurant recommendations to detailed personal data on students from various academies. His prices are typically low, often just the cost of a meal. Yabuki is a member of the Kageboshi, a spy and intelligence agency that operates under the Galaxy, the vast financial conglomerate that funds Seidoukan Academy. He maintains a secret working relationship with the academy's student council president, Claudia Enfield. Furthermore, it is revealed that he is the son of the head of the Yabuki Clan, a ninja lineage with special abilities derived from the mana-dite ore. Though his real name is Eishirou, he dislikes his clan's philosophy of discarding personal emotions for the sake of a mission and left to keep his distance, joining the Kageboshi instead. Within the Kageboshi and the criminal underworld, he is considered an eccentric for his carefree approach to his assignments.
Despite his apparent disinterest in fighting, Yabuki is exceptionally capable. As a Genestellar, he possesses enhanced physical abilities. His combat prowess is stated to be top-tier within the Kageboshi, a level comparable to that of the Page One, the twelve strongest warriors of Seidoukan Academy.
