TV-Series
Description
Camilla Pareto is a student of Allekant Academy, one of the six academies in the city, and serves as a prominent representative of its largest faction, Ferrovius, which is dedicated to the research and development of Lux technology. She is a young woman with long, sandy-blonde hair that reaches her waist and distinctive red eyes. Due to injuries sustained in her past, half of her body is a prosthetic, created using advanced puppet technology.
Camilla's background is marked by a tragic incident from her childhood. She and her parents were attacked by a反政府组织, and when the security weapons she tried to use failed to activate, she was left unable to defend her family. Her parents perished in the attack, and Camilla herself lost half of her body. She was saved and rehabilitated through the puppet technology developed by her friend and colleague, Ernesta Kuhne. This life-altering experience instilled in her a powerful and unwavering motivation: to develop weapons that anyone can use effectively, regardless of skill or circumstance. Her ultimate goal is to create the final universal weapon, a mission to which she has dedicated her life and has even sworn to give half of her existence to Ernesta in gratitude.
In terms of personality, Camilla is known for being serious, calm, and composed, often serving as a foil to the more eccentric and carefree nature of her partner, Ernesta. She is highly intelligent and steadfast in her convictions, particularly regarding her philosophy on weapon design. This belief system once put her at odds with Saya Sasamiya from Seidoukan Academy, leading to a professional rivalry between the two over their differing approaches to Lux creation.
Throughout the story, Camilla's role is primarily that of a researcher and a fighter representing Allekant in the Festa tournaments. In the Phoenix Festa, she and Ernesta entered two自律型拟形体—autonomous puppet-type Lux named AR-D (often called Ardi) and RM-C (Rimsi)—which Camilla piloted as her proxy in the competition. Her team was a strong contender, defeating the formidable pair of Saya Sasamiya and Kirin Todo in the semi-finals before ultimately losing to the protagonists, Ayato Amagiri and Julis-Alexia von Riessfelt, in the final match, earning second place. Her key relationships are deeply tied to Allekant; she is inseparable from Ernesta Kuhne, to whom she owes her life and career. Her rivalry with Saya Sasamiya is also significant, as it represents a clash of ideals and pushes her to refine her own creations.
Camilla's development is closely linked to her creations and her rivalry with Saya. After a later loss during the Gryps or King's Festa, she initially decided to abandon her promise for a rematch with Saya. However, she was encouraged by Saya to continue striving for that future confrontation, suggesting a maturation in her outlook from a purely results-oriented researcher to someone who values the ongoing pursuit of her goals.
Camilla is a Genestellar, meaning she possesses enhanced physical abilities and can manipulate prana. However, her true talent lies in her high intelligence and expertise in puppet technology. Rather than fight directly, her notable abilities involve the creation, maintenance, and synchronization with autonomous puppets, which she can control in battle to perform complex combat maneuvers. Her entire life and work as a scientist are dedicated to the principle that power should not be exclusive but accessible to all, a philosophy born directly from the tragedy of her childhood.
