Description
Inspector Lestrade, a Scotland Yard detective in *Lupin the 3rd Part 6*, sports gray hair, black eyes, and a consistent gray suit with a red tie and black shoes. He projects calmness and kindness, particularly in his uncle-like guardianship of Lily Watson, whom he cared for since her childhood. Professionally, he collaborates with Sherlock Holmes on investigations, upholding an image of trustworthiness.

Beneath this facade, Lestrade belongs to the Raven, a secret organization manipulating the British government. A decade before the main events, he murdered Dr. John H. Watson—Holmes’ partner and Lily’s father—while Lily, wearing a yellow scarf, witnessed the crime. Lestrade later removed her scarf at the scene, a detail Holmes used to implicate him.

His betrayal surfaces during the Raven treasure investigation, exposing him as Watson’s killer and a Raven operative targeting multiple individuals. Pursued by Holmes and Lupin III on London Bridge, Lestrade falls into the river after asking Holmes to relay a message to Lily. He then detonates an explosive device, dying in the blast. Holmes subsequently calls him a fool.

Lestrade’s arc contrasts his benevolent detective persona with his concealed role as a ruthless conspirator and murderer.
