TV-Series
Description
Benigio is a significant antagonist from the Witchy Precure series, known for her role as a high-ranking servant of the primary villain, Deusmast. She is the only female member among Deusmast's direct followers and makes her first appearance in the latter part of the series, awakening from an ancient seal. Her spirit is initially released from a ritual vessel resembling an ancient dogu, which was being kept in a museum in the human world, and she later fully regains her physical form to carry out her master's will.
In terms of appearance, Benigio possesses a strong, athletic build and is distinguished by her unusual pink skin and shoulder-length hair. Her most prominent features are two large red horns on her head and a matching red tail. She wears a revealing red suit of armor inspired by oriental designs, and a bright, halo-like red aura floats behind her back, giving her a divine yet menacing presence. In her final, most powerful transformation, her body grows to a gigantic size, her armor becomes far more threatening, white angelic wings sprout from her back, and her halo shifts to float above her head as her eyes glow completely red.
Benigio's personality is defined by a potent mix of arrogance, laziness, and a cruel sense of superiority. She speaks in a casual, almost rebellious teenage tone and has an extremely optimistic outlook, though this is born from a deep-seated belief in her own power and a general disinterest in anything that requires effort. She disdains strategic thinking or intense training, believing that true victory should be effortless and that winning through brute force is the only valid path. This makes her dismissive of humans, traditional magic, and even the passionate dedication shown by the main heroines, which she finds irritating. She loves to dominate and torment those she considers weaker than herself, acting with a casual cruelty and a complete lack of empathy. When faced with defeat, rather than reflecting on her mistakes, she simply ignores the failure to protect her own pride, a trait that prevents her from ever truly growing or learning from her battles.
Benigio's primary motivation is to serve Deusmast and see all worlds consumed by chaos. She holds a deep conviction in the absolute supremacy of the chaotic power she wields, known as Muhou, and looks down on all other forms of power. Her role in the story is that of a powerful field commander, often confronting the Precure directly to test her strength against theirs and to eliminate them as obstacles to her master's revival.
Her key relationships are largely defined by her sense of superiority. She views her fellow servants, such as Labut, Shakince, and Orba, as inferior or uninteresting, treating them with cold indifference when they are defeated. She is particularly perplexed by Orba's curiosity about human culture, a fascination she cannot comprehend or appreciate. In a final act that underscores her ruthless and pragmatic nature, she absorbs the power of her seven remaining comrades to achieve a devastating final form, using them as fuel for her own power.
Benigio's development is less about personal growth and more about an escalation of her existing traits. She begins by underestimating the Precure, but after repeated confrontations, she ultimately decides to take matters into her own hands in a definitive way. As Deusmast's arrival draws near, she absorbs the other servants to transform into a colossal, city-destroying monster, demonstrating a new level of power that finally poses a genuine threat to the heroines. However, even in this ultimate form, she is ultimately overwhelmed by the Precure's combined attack, Precure Extreme Rainbow. Just as she is about to be defeated, Deusmast manifests and saves her, absorbing her back into its form. In the final battle, after the Precure purify Deusmast, Benigio disappears for good, becoming one with her master in its ultimate defeat.
Benigio possesses several notable abilities. She has immense superhuman strength and can create devastating tornadoes and fire powerful destructive beams from her hands, demonstrating control over storm-like phenomena reminiscent of a thunder deity. Her signature power is the chaotic energy of Muhou, which she uses to overwhelm her opponents with brute force. Her most significant ability is her final transformation, achieved by absorbing her allies, which grants her colossal size, monstrous physical strength, incredible speed, and the ability to devastate entire cities with a single blast from her mouth. In this form, she is even able to momentarily withstand the Precure's strongest finishing attacks.
