TV-Series
Description
This description covers Ha-chan, also known as Kotoha Hanami and Cure Felice, from the anime Witchy Precure.

Ha-chan begins her existence as a fairy infant who emerges from a flower within the Linkle Smartbook. In her earliest form, she behaves much like a human toddler, with a playful nature and occasional moodiness. As she grows, nurtured by the main characters Mirai and Liko, she goes through several distinct fairy stages, each with a more developed appearance and personality. Eventually, she matures into a human girl around the same age as her caretakers, at which point she adopts the name Kotoha Hanami. The name Kotoha, which relates to the Japanese word for words or spells, was chosen by her after remembering a saying about honest words becoming magic. Her surname Hanami, meaning sea of flowers, was suggested by Liko based on Kotoha's memory of seeing a vast flower field.

In terms of personality, Kotoha is generally cheerful, optimistic, and sweet-natured. She has been strongly influenced by the two girls who raised her, inheriting Mirai's curiosity and Liko's diligent, hardworking attitude. Despite having an innate and exceptionally powerful gift for magic, she does not initially understand the source of her own abilities. Her mental and emotional maturity does not always match her physical growth, as she still retains some habits and instincts from her time as a fairy, such as trying to fly or squeeze into small spaces, which often leads to mishaps. Her famously voracious appetite also persists from her earliest days. She has a habit of ending her sentences with the sound "ha," which is a remnant of her fairy name. When she transforms into Cure Felice, her demeanor becomes more composed and mature, though she still shows flashes of her fundamental kindness and occasional childishness.

Her primary motivation is her deep love for Mirai, Liko, and her plush bear companion Mofurun, who have all cared for her since her birth. She wishes to be strong enough to protect and support them, wanting to repay the love she has received. At one point, she worries that her presence only puts them in danger and attempts to leave, but she is ultimately reassured by their unwavering affection for her.

Kotoha's role in the story is crucial as she is the third member of the Precure team, transforming into Cure Felice, the Precure of Happiness and Joy. Her introduction marks a significant shift in the team's power. She is later revealed to be the one who inherits the power of Mother Rapapa, a legendary and divine figure, effectively making her a successor with immense, world-shaping capabilities. In the final battle, she helps separate the intertwined magical and non-magical worlds, a feat that causes her to temporarily lose her physical form and become a conceptual being before eventually rematerializing.

Her most important relationships are with Mirai and Liko, whom she sees as maternal figures. This bond is the emotional core of her character. She is also very close to Mofurun, considering the bear her older sister. While attending school in both the magical and non-magical worlds, she forms friendships with other students, including a notable bond with a merman prince named Jade, who becomes a special person to her.

Over the course of the story, Kotoha develops from a dependent, infantile fairy into a capable and caring young woman who bears a tremendous responsibility. She struggles with understanding her own identity and the source of her incredible power, especially after learning she is the reincarnation of Mother Rapapa. This creates internal conflict as she seeks to affirm her own individuality, but she ultimately comes to accept her role while treasuring the memories and love that have shaped who she is as Kotoha Hanami, not just as a divine successor.

As Cure Felice, her abilities are extraordinary. Using the Linkle Stone Emerald and the Flower Echo Wand, she performs her primary purification attack, Emerald Reincarnation. The Linkle Smartbook is her transformation device, and she can use it to power up her allies' attacks as well. Her magical talent is so immense that she can create objects out of thin air, a feat considered impossible for even the most accomplished magicians. Later in the series, she gains the ability to assume the Alexandrite Style, a more powerful form used in conjunction with Mirai and Liko to perform the group attack Extreme Rainbow. Her ultimate role as the successor of Mother Rapapa grants her power on a god-like scale, capable of affecting entire worlds, though she retains her core personality even after attaining this status.
