OVA
Description
Nina A. Thunder is a former éX-Driver who later serves as a skilled operator and secretary within the éX-Driver organization. She is an adult woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes, often seen wearing white clothing, a choice she never explains. Her background includes active field duty at the éX-Driver Los Angeles branch, where she worked alongside fellow éX-Driver Rei Kazama. Together, they investigated a series of unusual runaway vehicle incidents that eventually led to the discovery of a hidden plot, events depicted in the prequel story éX-Driver: Nina & Rei Danger Zone. After her field career, Nina transferred to a support role at the Tokyo base, acting as the secretary and right-hand assistant to Captain Kei Munakata. In this capacity, she demonstrates calm professionalism and sharp situational awareness, coordinating missions and providing critical information to active drivers.

Nina's personality is marked by confidence, competence, and a reserved, no-nonsense demeanor. She is quick-thinking and decisive, comfortable taking charge in high-pressure situations. Her driving skills are exceptional; she is adept at handling a gasoline-powered vehicle, specifically a white Mazda Eunos Roadster, which she uses on the rare occasions she returns to fieldwork. She also possesses strong technical knowledge, enabling her to manage the organization's communication systems and mission logistics with precision. Her motivations stem from a sense of duty and a desire to protect others from the dangers posed by malfunctioning or hijacked AI vehicles. While she is not the central focus of the main OVA series, Nina's role as an experienced mentor figure and capable operator supports the primary team and reinforces the story's themes of skill and dedication. She maintains a respectful working relationship with Munakata and a proven partnership with Rei, indicating a history of trust and mutual reliability. Over the course of her appearances, Nina shows a quiet but firm commitment to her work, and her transition from field agent to behind-the-scenes operator illustrates her adaptability and loyalty to the éX-Driver cause.
