She remembers their past together and has taken on the self-appointed role of Ichiya's caretaker, affectionately calling him by a nickname. Her primary motivation stems from her deep care for Ichiya and her love for the world she has returned to. She is driven to protect others and is willing to put herself in danger to support her friends, believing that fighting is the only way to express her feelings.

Canaria's role in the story is that of a dedicated supporter. As the only student from Tokyo who cannot fly, she relies on other students to transport her to battlefields.
