Description
Labra is a baby Jewelpet who appears as a supporting character in Jewelpet Happiness. She is a pink and white polar bear cub with light blue heart-shaped paw pads and similarly shaped inner ears, and she wears a necklace featuring a multicolored planet resembling Saturn. Her name is derived from the mineral labradorite, and she was originally introduced in the first Jewelpet series as a newborn Jewelpet brought into existence through Rakumajo’s magic. Labra holds the rare Super Crystal Class ranking, meaning all of her magic is naturally successful. Her birthday is December 27.

In terms of personality, Labra behaves childishly and impulsively toward others. She cries easily over minor provocations and can be selfish and jealous, often trying to disguise these traits with an innocent, cute demeanor. However, she occasionally shows altruistic tendencies when her friends are in need. Her curiosity sometimes leads her into accidents, yet she also possesses a playful and mischievous side, enjoying pranks in Jewel Land. Despite her flaws, she is generally well-meaning and loyal to those she cares about.

Her primary motivation is to be helpful and accepted by her friends, though her immature emotions can cause her to act out. In the story of Jewelpet Happiness, Labra is part of the group of Jewelpets assisting Ruby at the Jewelpet Cafe Happiness, where the characters work to collect Magic Gems. She develops a close bond with the human student Ruruka Hanayama, who serves as her babysitter and friend. This relationship directly contributes to the gem collection: in episode four, their connection yields one Magic Gem, and a second gem appears in episode twenty-one. Labra also shares a sister-like relationship with Ruby, often looking up to her and acting as a younger sibling figure.

Over the course of the series, Labra does not undergo dramatic personal transformation, but she learns to set aside her selfish impulses at times for the sake of her companions. Her notable abilities include high-powered magic that always succeeds, and when she becomes frightened or cries intensely, she can unleash powerful magical shockwaves capable of damaging nearby objects and structures. This raw power, combined with her emotional volatility, makes her both a vulnerable and unexpectedly formidable presence in the story.
