Description
Kyabe is a Saiyan from Universe 6, introduced during the Tournament of Destroyers arc of Dragon Ball Super. He resides on the planet Sadala, the original Saiyan homeworld still preserved in his universe, where the Saiyan race follows a peaceful, benevolent path as protectors rather than conquerors. Kyabe serves as an elite member of the Sadala Defense Forces, a corps dedicated to maintaining order across the universe. Physically, he is of short stature with a slim build, black spiky hair, and wears a silver battle armor over a blue undershirt.

His personality is marked by earnestness, humility, and a polite, respectful demeanor. Kyabe carries a quiet sense of pride as a Saiyan defender, but he is notably open to learning and readily acknowledges the strengths of others. He demonstrates bravery in combat, a protective instinct toward his comrades, and a strong sense of loyalty to both his homeworld and the ideals of his people.

Kyabe's primary motivation is to grow stronger in order to safeguard his universe and fulfill the responsibilities of his role in the defense forces. He also becomes driven by the promise to one day bring Vegeta to Sadala, a gesture rooted in gratitude and the desire to honor the bonds formed across universes. His aspirations intertwine personal growth with the welfare of his team and his world.

In the story, Kyabe first appears as a member of Champa’s team for the inter-universe tournament against Beerus’s fighters. During that event, he faces Vegeta in a match that proves transformative. Through Vegeta’s deliberate provocation of his emotions, Kyabe awakens the Super Saiyan form for the first time, an ability he had been entirely unaware of. Despite losing, the experience leaves him deeply thankful to Vegeta, whom he comes to regard as a mentor figure.

Later, during the Tournament of Power, Kyabe takes on a more proactive role. He recruits Caulifla and Kale, two fellow Universe 6 Saiyans, to join the team and shares the knowledge of Super Saiyan transformation with Caulifla. In the tournament itself, he battles alongside them and against multiple enemies. During a fierce fight with the Universe 4 warrior Monna, Kyabe pushes past his limits and ascends to Super Saiyan 2 after Monna insults his friends and Vegeta. This transformation allows him to swiftly defeat her. He continues to fight alongside his universe’s team until he is eventually eliminated.

Key relationships define much of his development. Vegeta acts as a catalyst and respected teacher; Kyabe looks up to him and the lesson imparted during their first match fundamentally changes his understanding of Saiyan potential. With Caulifla and Kale, he forms a bond of mutual support, acting as both a source of guidance and a protective comrade. His interactions with Goku are friendly and curious, reflecting his admiration for the Universe 7 Saiyans while maintaining loyalty to his own universe. He also holds deep ties to his people on Sadala, valuing their peaceful mission.

Kyabe’s growth as a fighter is significant. Starting with no knowledge of transformations, he learns to tap into Super Saiyan, then later achieves Super Saiyan 2 in the heat of battle. As a Saiyan, he possesses the innate ability to grow stronger after each fight and to increase his power when recovering from severe injuries. His fighting style relies on energy-based attacks, swift movements, and adaptability, though he is still refining his combat experience relative to more seasoned warriors. Above all, his journey is defined by an increasing confidence, a deeper understanding of his own heritage, and a commitment to protecting those he cares about.
