Description
Pasta is a female soldier of the Gurumes Army and one of King Gurumes' top enforcers in the 1986 anime film Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies. She appears as a young woman with long, curly orange hair, blue eyes, and a cool, stylish bearing, and she usually wears a military-style outfit with a cowl and goggles. Her name is a food pun, matched with her partner Bongo, whose name alludes to a pasta sauce.
Pasta is self-absorbed and chiefly concerned with securing wealth for herself and her siblings. Although she presents herself as a loyal servant of King Gurumes, she is secretly manipulating him throughout the film: he believes she is gathering the seven Dragon Balls for him in exchange for Blood Rubies, but her true goal is to obtain the Blood Rubies for herself. For this reason she is regarded as the true main antagonist of the story, quietly driving the conflict from behind the scenes.
