Description
Kris Kristopher is a young athlete who hails from a small communal group on the lunar surface known as the Biginners, a society that lives in profound symbiosis with nature and deliberately rejects advanced technology to maintain harmony in an unpolluted environment. She comes from a family of priests with Native American lineage and has been raised to sense spirits and communicate with them, positioning her as a soon-to-be priestess within her tradition. On the University Satellite, where the top athletes of the era train, she immediately distinguishes herself as one of the most gifted competitors in her class, performing at a level close to the reigning Cosmo Beauty Lahrri. Her calm demeanor and immense physical ability attract the ire of fellow top contender Mylandah, who redirects that hostility toward Kris's team. Within the shared living quarters on the satellite, Kris rooms with Akari Kanzaki and Anna Respighi, along with Gyubei, a cow she brought from the moon whose milk she regards as essential to her survival. Her personality blends quiet confidence with a deeply spiritual outlook, and she often serves as a steadying presence for her friends. Toward Akari, Kris develops strong romantic feelings almost upon meeting her, experiencing what can be described as love at first sight. Over the course of the story these feelings are eventually reciprocated, and in the later episodes the two share a profound empathic bond that Kris conjures and sanctifies through the spirits she worships. Her development centers on learning to balance her spiritual duties and feelings with the demands of high-stakes competition, while her notable abilities include world-class athletic prowess across multiple disciplines and a genuine, ritual-based talent for sensing and communing with spirits, which she channels to create a deep psychic link with Akari during the story's climax.
