Description
Lord Jaguar is a wealthy nobleman and the main human antagonist of the Dragon Ball Z film Bio-Broly. He is introduced as the long-time rival of Mr. Satan, a grudge that stems from a physical fight the two had during high school which Lord Jaguar lost. Driven by a deep-seated desire for revenge, his primary motivation is to publicly expose Mr. Satan as a fraud and humiliate him on a global scale. To achieve this, he uses his vast financial resources to fund a state-of-the-art laboratory on a private island, where he employs a team of geneticists led by Dr. Collie to create an army of bio-engineered warriors. His ultimate plan involves cloning the legendary Super Saiyan Broly using a blood sample obtained from a shaman, hoping to use the clone to destroy Mr. Satan and eventually claim world domination. Lord Jaguar is portrayed as an arrogant, unintelligent, and somewhat lecherous tyrant who believes his wealth and schemes make him untouchable. He is shown to be dismissive of others and acts pervertedly towards Android 18, earning him a slap across the room. His key relationships are defined by his rivalry with Mr. Satan, his employment of the scientists and the shaman, and his role as the creator of Bio-Broly. Throughout the film, Lord Jaguar remains a static character who never learns from his mistakes. He demonstrates no personal combat abilities, relying entirely on his hired bio-warriors and the Broly clone. His plan quickly unravels when the unstable Bio-Broly breaks free of his control and goes on a rampage, attacking him when he tries to give orders. In the end, he is forced to flee his collapsing island laboratory and is saved from the corrosive bio-fluid by Trunks. He and his associate Men-Men are among the very few main film villains in the Dragon Ball Z franchise to survive the events of the movie.
