TV-Series
Description
Yasuo Kawamura, known almost exclusively by his nickname Cheetah, is a six-year-old child and a member of the Rose Class, the rival group to the main characters' Sunflower Class at Futaba Kindergarten. He is visually distinctive for wearing a leopard print vest over his standard kindergarten uniform, a style that directly inspired his nickname. He is also frequently seen with a soccer ball, underscoring his athletic disposition.

Cheetah's personality is defined by a boisterous and competitive nature. He is portrayed as a typical bully who takes pride in his physical strength and speed, often using these attributes to taunt and pick on other children, particularly the timid Masao Sato. He harbors a fierce rivalry with the Sunflower Class, especially with its most unpredictable member, Shinnosuke Nohara, and Kazama-kun, frequently engaging in shouting matches and bickering with them. Despite his tough and aggressive exterior, Cheetah is not inherently malicious. He possesses a strong, almost disciple-like loyalty to his homeroom teacher, Ume Matsuzaka, and often participates in her schemes to outshine the rival teacher and class. He can also show a softer side on occasion, such as being genuinely upset when the Kasukabe Defense Force announced its disbandment or showing sadness when a classmate moved away.

His primary motivation stems from a desire to prove the superiority of the Rose Class and his own athletic prowess. He considers the Sunflower Class a serious rival and employs various strategies to defeat them in competitions. However, his efforts are consistently undermined by Shinnosuke's bizarre and unpredictable behavior. Cheetah has a critical and comedic weakness: the mere mention of the superhero Action Mask causes him to stop in his tracks, strike a pose, and shout the hero's name, leaving him vulnerable to Shinnosuke's antics.

Within the story, Cheetah serves as a recurring antagonist and a representative of the Rose Class's challenge to the main group. He often appears alongside his teacher, Ume Matsuzaka, or his clique of classmates, Hitoshi and Terunobu. His relationships are largely defined by rivalry. He has a fierce dislike for Shinnosuke and Kazama and enjoys bullying weaker children like Masao. Despite the constant conflict, there are instances of camaraderie, such as when the children from both classes unite to play sports like dodgeball and soccer against external opponents. He has also been shown to be a member of the Rose Class soccer team.

Over the course of the series, Cheetah's role has seen slight development. While he remains a boastful bully in many episodes, the frequency of him directly bullying Nene Sakurada decreased as her character became more assertive. His character has also taken on a role as an introducer of the special abilities of other Rose Class students, highlighting the class's unique talents. His athletic abilities are not just for show; in one notable instance, he was depicted completing a full marathon course in under three hours, a feat of endurance remarkable even for an adult. He also appears in several theatrical films, such as The Great Adventure of Henderland, where the Rose Class plays a significant role.
